Have you ever had a powerful encounter with God, only to feel it slip away after a few days, weeks, or months? It’s like you were on fire for God, but then the cares of life crept in, and the excitement dimmed. I’ve seen this happen to so many people.

I remember ministering in Louisville, Kentucky, years ago. A woman came up to me after a service with tears in her eyes. She told me how much the teaching had transformed her life and how, for the first time, she really understood the love of God. But then she said, “I know this won’t last. It may only be a week or a month, but I’m just enjoying the love of God more than I ever have.”
